Community is so important. I love hosting, as it is a way to get all of the people from the different parts of your life together in one place, sharing a meal. Creating community. I think that is what 2017 taught me, you have to CREATE community if you want community. Show up for your friends, bring love, and that is what you will get back. Nothing is better than getting loved ones from all different parts of your life together. And no meal is better to do this over than BRUNCH. I hosted a Christmas brunch with friends from work, college, Instagram, old friends, new friends. On the menu; I made an Avocado Toast Board and Orange Cinnamon Rolls, friends brought blueberry lemon scones, earl grey and chocolate macarons, fresh fruit, Union Square Donuts, eggs with caramelized onions, and MIMOSAS. We ate picnic style on my living room floor with blankets. A long low table with candles, flowers, and a eucalyptus table runner. Already dreaming up my next brunch...
